The six elective topics that students will be able to choose from are:

Seniors: Film Making, School News, Team Exams – FCE Exams – CAE Exams –TOEFL, Film Studies, Business English, English for Academic Purposes

Lesson 7 will deal with electronic communication in what we call E-com lessons. The aim of these computer-based lessons will be to improve students’ knowledge about the use of computers and computer programs as well as their writing skills.

Lesson 8 will be devoted to tutorials and preparation for entertainments evening.

Entertainments evening is a central feature of the weekly program at LINES. Every class has to present an item which is devised and written by themselves. All students have to be onstage and each one should have a speaking part, however brief. Teachers play a vital role in motivating, organising and producing these entertainment items. The Entertainments Evening is run on competitive lines and all teachers and AOs vote for the best item to be announced at the end of the evening. There are two sessions a week for entertainments preparation Entertainments Evening takes place on Friday nights from 7.30pm for Juniors and Seniors.

Tutorial periods are to provide time for students to be with their ‘home base’ teacher. It is an opportunity to do homework pre-excursion and post-excursion work, student evaluations and all other ‘housekeeping’ tasks.
